A match bonus is not free cash
A deposit match adds promotional funds based on a qualifying deposit, usually up to a cap. Those funds often come with wagering requirements. For example, a 100% match on a $50 deposit might add $50 in bonus credit, but the withdrawal conditions decide how that credit can be used.
Translate the wagering requirement
A multiplier may apply to the bonus alone or to the deposit plus bonus. At 30× wagering on a $50 bonus, the required eligible stakes total $1,500. If it applies to a $50 deposit plus a $50 bonus, the total is $3,000. That is turnover, not a promise of winning, and your funds may run out before completion.
Read the conditions that change the offer
Check maximum stake limits, restricted games, game contribution rates, expiry dates, and maximum cashouts. Table games may contribute less than slots, or not count at all. A rule breach may void promotional winnings.
- Does the wagering multiplier apply to the bonus or the full balance?
- Which games count, and at what rate?
- How much time do you have to complete the conditions?
- Is there a limit on what can be withdrawn?
You can choose not to take a bonus
If the conditions do not suit your budget or preferred games, declining a promotion may be the clearer option. Never increase a deposit just to unlock a larger offer. Check whether an operator allows you to play without promotional restrictions.
